The building was built in 1935 as the residence of a wealthy merchant of the time, and in its original form was developed into a two-storey house. The current owners rebuilt it highlighting all the classic elements of the property and modernized it with respect to its historicity.
In the early 1990s a new law allowed the demolition of the existing roof and the addition of a floor.
During the works, findings of a Roman settlement came to light, which were covered with glass showcases and are visible inside the building.
